APEX founder Brian Kueppers collects insights from 16 years of experience

ST. PAUL, November 28, 2011 —Today APEX Print Technologies released its first ever eBook authored by Brian Kueppers, the company’s founder and CEO. The step-by-step guide to reducing billing costs and increasing patient satisfaction is titled:

Best Practices in Healthcare Statement Design
33 ½ Ways to Cut Your Costs, Increase Collections,Strengthen Your Brand, and Build Patient Loyalty

The book is available for free download at www.apexprint.com.

In the book, Brian Kueppers outlines a step-by-step approach to rethinking the healthcare statement as an important communication tool. Kueppers draws on 16 years of experience at APEX helping healthcare providers shorten their billing cycles, reduce costs and increase patient satisfaction. In the introduction, Kueppers notes that billing is usually considered an inconvenient-but-necessary part of doing business. However, he says:

In fact, billing is an essential part of the relationship and has a strong influence on how positively the vendor is perceived. With relatively little effort, most aspects of statement processing can be improved upon; eliminating problems, enhancing communications, reducing costs, helping to retain valued customers, and even expanding the scope of your business. This is particularly true in healthcare.

The eBook walks readers step by step through a proven approach to the redesign process starting with cost and marketing reasons to redesign statements. Kueppers then addresses how to leverage statements as marketing communications, how to implement electronic statement and payment services, and how to measure return on investment.

Brian Kueppers is known in both the healthcare administration and statement-processing industries for pioneering a technology-driven approach to help providers cut costs, decrease customer service call time, improve customer communications, and ultimately improve cash flow and efficiency throughout the billing cycle. His articles have appeared in various industry trade publications. In October 2011, Mr. Kueppers addressed the topic of statement design in a 90 minute presentation at the national conference of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management in Las Vegas.
